Kelowna North

Kelowna North is downtown Kelowna at its most walkable. Okanagan Lake runs along its whole western edge, and the waterfront boardwalk ties it together: from City Park, past the Sails at the foot of Bernard Avenue and Stuart Park, the Kelowna Yacht Club and Tugboat Beach in Waterfront Park, to the lagoons along Sunset Drive and on toward Knox Mountain.

One block inland, Bernard Avenue is the city’s main street, lined with patios, independent boutiques, galleries and cafés, with the lake at the end of every view. Water Street runs north through the Cultural District, past Prospera Place, the Kelowna Community Theatre and the Rotary Centre for the Arts, to the Delta Grand and the yacht club.

Further north, the old industrial blocks along Ellis and St. Paul have become the Brewery District, with taprooms like BNA Brewing and Kettle River Brewing, while Knox Mountain Park’s trails and the sandy beach at Poplar Point give the neighbourhood its outdoor side. It is the rare corner of the Okanagan where you can leave the car parked all week.
